ان الام ذلك القلب الكبير الذي استودع الله فيه كل معاني الحب والحنان,فهي ملاك رحيم لا يعرف الا التضحية والعطاء دون انتظارفقد كرمها الله وكرمتها رسالات السماء وكرمها العالم اجمع فجعل لها عيداَ يحتفل به كل عام ونحن في السطور القادمة سنستعرض قصة عيد الأم وكيف بدا الاحتفال به في مصر وغريها من بلاد العالم.بدأت فكرة عيد الام من خلال احدى المصلحات الاجتماعيات بولاية فلوريدا الامريكية وتدعى (أن جافيير)حيث دعت هذه السيدة عددا من صديقاتها بذكرى وفاة والدتها واقترحت حينها على الحضور برغبتها في تخصيص يوم
للأم يحتفل به كل عام ولتنفيذ الاقتراح تقدمت وكرست كل جهدها من اجل اصدار قانون رسمي يحدد أحد الايام كمناسبة خاصة للاحتفال بعيد الام
وبعد سنوات وافق مجلس الشيوخ على الفكرة واعترف بها رسميا وذلك وذلك في مايو من عام 1913 وعند العودة الى كتب التاريخ فأنها تشهد بأن الفراعنة كانوا من أوائل الشعوب السباقة في تقديم الام وجعلها مقدسة حيث خلدوها في اثارهم داخل المعابد ويظهر ذلك جليا في النقوش والتماثيل والاشعار والاغاني ومن اشهر الاساطير المصرية القديمة التي دلت على مكانة وقداسة الأم (تلك الاسطورة التي تحكي بان السماء ام تلد الشمس كل صباح)
أما دين الاسلام فهو من اوائل الاديان التي دعت الى احترام الوالدين وطاعتهما والاحسان اليهما حيث حفظ للمرأة كرامتها وحقوقها

فالأم هي كل شيءفي حياتنا ومهماحاولنا لن نستطيع ان نبوح لها
عما نكنه من حب واحترام وكل ما نستطيع أن نفعله نحوهاهوالدعاء لله بأن يطيل في اعمارهن ويمنحهن الصحة والعافية
